According to Fox 26's Mark Berman, the Astros are trading center fielder Myles Straw to the Indians for RHP Phil Maton and minor league catcher Yainer Diaz. Maton is a 28-year-old relief pitcher with a 4.57 ERA this season.

Houston also made another move on Friday. The Astros are calling up outfield prospect Jake Meyers from Triple A. Meyers is hitting .343 with 16 bombs and 51 RBI for the Skeeters this year. Astros GM James Click said McCormick will get a good share of the playing time in center field.
