POSSIBLE SCENARIOS
Here's what could be going on behind the scenes with Justin Verlander
CBS sports analyst and former Marlins president David Samson joins CBS HQ and talks about the Astros shutting Justin Verander down for two weeks as he deals with a forearm strain. Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle is reporting that Verlander will miss the rest of the season, but Verlander denied that report on Sunday. David Samson believes that the Astros might be slow playing the severity of the injury, so they have more leverage when trying to trade for pitching. CBS analyst Jim Bowden, former MLB executive of the year, says that another option could be giving Verlander a PRP injection. Putting in some stem cells could possibly heal the injury and allow Verlander to return this year. Check out the video to learn more.
