According to multiple reports, the Houston Texans are signing former Cowboys TE Dalton Schultz to a 1-year deal worth up to $9 million.

In 15 games last season, Schulz caught 57 passes and recorded 577 receiving yards with 5 TDs. Over the past 3 years, his numbers are right up there with the top tight ends in the game.
Dalton Schultz becomes the second Cowboys FA to join the Texans. WR Noah Brown also signed there. Schultz had a productive run with the Cowboys. Last 3 years, Schultz, Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews and T.J. Hockenson are only TEs to have 50+ catches for 500+ or more yards.

He should be a good fit sharing carries with Dameon Pierce. Singletary rushed for 819 yards last season, with 5 rushing TDs. His ability to catch the football had to be one of the elements of his game that got GM Nick Caserio's attention.
Singletary caught 38 passes for 280 yards last year. With Rex Burkhead no longer under contract, Singletary will be a nice upgrade catching passes out of the backfield for Houston.
