Expectations for the Houston Texans tend to vary depending on which betting site you visit. Most sportsbooks however have the Houston Texans' win total set around 5.5 to 6.5 games for the upcoming season.
But the Texans do have a very soft schedule, at least on paper. With that in mind, ESPN Houston's Jeremy Branham made a case for the Texans to come away with nine victories this year, while wearing his Texans “homer hat.”
After listening to his reasoning, nine wins might be doable.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is the favorite, but Texans QB CJ Stroud is in second, right behind him.

Does Stroud deserve this amount of respect in just his second season? Both Bayless and Johnson agree that he does! Keyshawn makes the point that Stroud was in MVP consideration last year. So why not this season? The Texans added Stefon Diggs and Joe Mixon to Houston's already lethal offense.
