You can develop real strength in a shorter period of time by doing "compound exercises." Compound exercises are multi-joint movements that work several muscles or muscle groups at one time. An example of a compound exercise is the squat, which engages many muscles in the lower body and core, including the quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes and even lower back.

The Astros have now lost five straight games and the starting pitching and bullpen have let them down over that stretch.
