Here are my selections for Friday night. These are not meant to be in exact order, but merely the four horses I think have the best chance to win. For beginners, I suggest exacta boxes with three horses, using two of mine and one of your own. And you can always pick up a copy of Acing Racing 2016 to learn everything you need to know. (These are the picks and format that are available on the free tip sheet at SHRP).

I like the first, fourth, fifth, sixth and eighth races on the card best of all.

FIRST
1-4-3-7
CHI TOWN CHIEF has struggled in last two but picks up Parker and likes this surface

SECOND
3-4-6-5
SUNNY'S FUNNY will be a short price but looks solid here

THIRD
1-5-3-8
MAD GRACE is another short-priced Asmussen runner who looks tough

FOURTH
7-1-6-2
Big class drop should help VALENTINE STREET be in the mix

FIFTH
9-2-4-8
TOMMY GROSSMAN just missed vs. tougher in last and offers good value

SIXTH
5-8-3-1
Will take a flyer with PALADINS WARRIOR, who drops after a so-so debut

SEVENTH
2-6-4-8
BOURBON GLENN has reeled off three in a row and should make it four

EIGHTH
2-5-10-1
Wide open with several firsters that could have an impact on the finish

Is Kyle Tucker at least another month away from returning? Composite Getty Image.

The latest update from Astros GM Dana Brown on the club's flagship station did not ease anyone's concerns this week. Brown said he was optimistic that Kyle Tucker would be back before September. September?

Which made us wonder what type of injury Tucker is really dealing with? A bone bruise doesn't typically take this long to heal.

Be sure to watch the video above as ESPN Houston's Joel Blank and Barry Laminack share their thoughts on Tucker's health, the Astros' secrecy when it comes to injuries, and much more!
