Head coaching experience
Caldwell most recently coached the Lions from 2014 to 2017, leading the team to the playoffs twice in that span. The Texans are very familiar with Caldwell as he replaced Tony Dungy as head coach of the Colts in 2009, and coached the team until he was fired after the 2011 season with the team going 2-14.
