It has been a phenomenal spring for Matthew Boling.

From shocking the track world with a wind-aided sub-10 second 100-meter dash, to breaking the high school national record by running a 10.13-second 100-meter dash at the UIL State Track and Field meet to winning the USATF U20 National Championship in the 100-meter and 200-meter dash this past weekend.

Now, add another award to the mantle - the Gatorade National Boys Track & Field Athlete of the Year.

The Strake Jesuit graduate, who is signed to Georgia, received the national award at a ceremony on Wednesday at Strake Jesuit High School.
