Davis has battled adversity all season; heads into playoffs

The team motto for Aldine Davis girls basketball this season was a simple one – 100-percent buy in.

The Falcons have had to be tremendously focused as they have faced adversity all season.

Third-year head coach Monique Everett was dismissed during the season and their top player suffered a season-ending injury last week.

Leading scorer Leeza De La Garza suffered an ACL injury against Westfield in the last regular season game. Davis will enter the postseason against Conroe Monday without their top player.
