With the legal tampering period now open in the NFL, teams are now able to agree to contracts with free agents that will become official when the new league year begins on Wednesday.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Texans have agreed to a 2-year $6.75 million deal with FB/TE Andrew Beck.

Fullbacks and tight ends play a very important role in the Shanahan west coast offense the Texans will be implementing, with Bobby Slowik coming over from San Francisco to run Houston's new offense.

Beck is 26 years old and played his last 4 years with the Denver Broncos. He played his college ball at the University of Texas.
