With the bye weeks behind us, the meat of the season is ahead.
There were a few games that had implications on the rankings, however. Cypress Woods put a flat tire in the Bridgeland Bear bandwagon, while Klein Oak's Dwight McGlothern showed out against The Woodlands in a win.
Elkins bowed out to Travis; Cypress Lakes just fell to Cypress Ranch and Clear Falls was knocked out of the Top 20 by Clear Springs.
In Class 5A, Shadow Creek crushed Angleton and Baytown Lee fell to Port Neches-Groves. That makes room for 4-0 newcomer Paetow High School for the first time in school history.
