The Texans should absolutely take a shot and bring in Adrian Peterson before training camp starts. Bringing Peterson in is a low-risk move that could pay huge dividends. Lamar Miller is struggling to make big plays for the offense, and Alfred Blue only has value on special teams. If D'Onta Foreman recovers from his Achilles injury he could make a big impact, but that's a big if. The Texans could use Peterson's presence in the backfield because their offensive line will be average at best, and a true feature running back might take some pressure off the line and Deshaun Watson.
