MLB announces sign-stealing penalties for Red Sox, Astros can't be happy
Wednesday, MLB finally announced the penalties for the Boston Red Sox for sign-stealing in 2018. Astros fans have to be upset that the Red Sox received such a small punishment.

*Loss of 2020 2nd-round pick.
*Ban of replay operator J.T. Watkins through 2020 playoffs and from doing same job in ‘21.
*Ban of Alex Cora through ‘20 playoffs, but only for conduct with #Astros.

It's hard to believe that Cora is being punished for his involvement in sign-stealing with the Astros in 2017, but had nothing to do with it occurring when he went to Boston in 2018. The Red Sox released the following statement below.

Most of the players didn't know this was going on? Wow, clearly MLB just wants to sweep this under the rug. The report was supposed to come down on the eve of the season beginning, which could mean the start of the season is nowhere in sight.
