NFL Week 1 Weather Report

Weather impacts on fantasy and wagering for the NFL

Welcome back to another season of the weekly football weather report. Your one stop shop for information on how the weather will impact the games you care about, whether from a fantasy or wagering perspective. In an effort to keep things from getting stagnant around here I have changed up the format this year. I have taken the SportsMap name quite literally, and created an interactive map that you can zoom, scroll, and click on with all of your game and weather information.

On the map above you will find pins in each location where there is an outdoor game this week (color coded to the home team), as well as an overlay showing where precipitation is forecast on Sunday afternoon. Now here is the nifty part - when you click on a pin it will display both the weather information for that game as well as my take on how the conditions will impact players for fantasy purposes.

Hopefully you find this format change to be useful and slightly more engaging. I plan to continue tinkering with this set up and will be adding additional information in the future, including select college games.

If you have any questions or thoughts feel free to find me on Twitter @stephenuzick.

Happy football season everyone!

The Astros have been staying afloat in spite of injuries to several of their starting pitchers, in large part due to contributions from Brandon Bielak and JP France.

Does this mean they don't need to make a trade for an arm?

Make sure to watch the video above as Paul weighs in on the team's options at the trade deadline.
