Several media outlets are reporting that the Astros and Yuli Gurriel have agreed on an extension. MLB.com's Brian McTaggart says the deal is for $6.5 million in 2021 with a club option for 2022 for $8 million, according to a source with knowledge of the negotiation. Yahoo is reporting the numbers are slightly different.
Gurriel has struggled with the bat this season like many of his teammates. He hit .232 with 6 home runs and drove in 32 runs this year.
