Texans GM Brian Gaine announced that the Texans have placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on Jadeveon Clowney, but will continue to work with Clowney and his agent on a long-term deal. Clowney has been able to stay relatively healthy the last few years and many believe he will be looking for a contract similar to Aaron Donald's. Donald signed a deal for $135 million, including $87 million guaranteed in August. The non-exclusive tag means the Texans will have an opportunity to match any offer, or get 2 first round picks in return as compensation.
