NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Texans are trading their top cornerback, Bradley Roby, to the New Orleans Saints. We will continue to update the story as more information becomes available. Roby is suspended and wouldn't be able to help the Texans in week one against the Jaguars, but not having him for the rest of the season is a big blow to a defense that's already lacking top tier talent.
Editor's note: We finally have an update on the compensation the Texans will receive for Bradley Roby. Aaron Wilson reports the Texans will receive a 3rd-round pick in 2022 and a conditional pick in 2023.
Texans acquire third-round 2022 draft pick and a 2023 conditional draft pick from Saints in exchange for starting cornerback Bradley Roby and paying $7 million of his $8.972 million base salary in signing bonus conversion, league source confirms
