It turns out the standings in June actually matter for Astros

The Astros begin an important series against the Yankees on Thursday night and Houston needs to get back in the win column after being swept by the Reds.

The Yankees and the Astros are starting to get healthy and both teams are fighting for home field advantage in the American League.

If the Astros can secure the top spot in the AL, the Yankees would likely have to face the surprisingly dangerous Minnesota Twins in the playoffs, leaving Houston to play the wildcard team at Minute Maid.
