The Houston Texans are moving forward with left tackle Laremy Tunsil, according to ProFootball Network's Aaron Wilson. Tunsil also posted on his personal Twitter account a similar message, Tuesday.
Texans are expected to keep Pro Bowl left offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil in place for next season, per league sources. He had been the subject of some unprompted exploratory trade calls from other teams, but Texans moving forward with Tunsil @PFN365

Many believed Tunsil had played his last game for the Texans after he never returned from what was believed to be a 4-6 week thumb injury he suffered in October last season. Also, with so many teams in need of quality offensive linemen, a Tunsil trade made a lot of sense. After Cincinnati's o-line struggles in the Super Bowl, Tunsil seemed like a perfect fit for the Bengals. But his massive salary might have been an issue.
With Tunsil and Tytus Howard manning the tackle positions, the Texans should be in a good place with their o-line in 2022. They already brought back their center Justin Britt, and signed Jaguars guard AJ Cann. Of course, the Texans could still take one of the top tackles in the draft at No.3 overall, but it seems extremely unlikely at this point.
Editor's note: The Texans have now restructured Laremy Tunsil's contract, clearing $8.4 million in cap space for Houston.
