The Texans standout defender left in the second quarter
Texans DE J.J. Watt
The Texans were down their best defensive player as J.J. Watt left the game with a shoulder injury. After the game he confirmed he was done for the year.
This game can be beautiful and it can also be brutal. Absolutely gutted that I won’t be able to finish the season with my guys and give the fans what they deserve. I truly love this game and can’t stand letting you guys down. Thank you for all of the thoughts & well-wishes.

That would seem to confirm a lot of the below information but it is all just speculation until an official designation is out.
#Texans Injury Update: DE J.J. Watt is out with a shoulder injury and CB Lonnie Johnson Jr. is out with a concussion. #OAKvsHOU

Watt jogged to the locker room in the second quarter by himself. He had been in the medical tent after a big tackle for loss against the Raiders deep in Oakland territory. He jogged off without the medical staff but wouldn't return.
The Texans turned to Brennan Scarlett to play opposite Whitney Mercilus in rush packages. Jacob Martin had a QB hit in the first half rushing the passer. Mercilus darted through for a big hit on Raiders running back Josh Jacobs in the third quarter. No Texans player recorded a hit on Derek Carr after Watt left.
The #Texans may have lost star DE JJ Watt to a serious injury. Source said the fear is that Watt suffered a torn pec, which would knock him out for the season. He’ll have an MRI to determine the full extent of the issue.

Whitney Mercilus had his season ended by a similar injury in 2017. There is no official word on Watt's injury currently as the Texans will await testing for more information.
Bill O'Brien said after the game Watt went to the hospital right away to get further testing. He mentioned they have had to play with Watt injured for the year before and they would do it again if that was indeed the case.

Texans left tackle Laremy Tunsil left the game with a shoulder injury and didn't return for the Texans finally drive. Lonnie Johnson left with a concussion. Deshaun Watson was kicked in the face during the above play but remained in the game.
Framber Valdez pitched seven strong innings, Isaac Paredes homered twice, and the Houston Astros beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 8-2 after a lengthy rain delay on Thursday night.

Valdez (6-4) won his fifth straight decision by limiting the Pirates to two runs on five hits with three walks and a season-high 11 strikeouts after waiting out the delay that pushed the start of the game back 3 hours and 22 minutes. The left-hander is now 5-0 with a 1.72 ERA in his last six starts.
Paredes hit his 13th homer of the season leading off the fourth against Mitch Keller (1-8). His 14th, a two-run shot in the ninth, put the game away.

Jeremy Peña added three hits and drove in a run for the Astros. The shortstop is batting .361 since moving to the leadoff spot on April 27.
Jake Melton, who made his major league debut last weekend against Tampa Bay, had two hits, including a two-run single against Keller in the fourth.
Keller had been pitching well despite receiving the lowest run support in the majors. The right-hander wasn't quite as crisp against the Astros, giving up six runs on eight hits in 6 1/3 innings as his ERA crept up to 4.19.
Jared Triolo had two hits and scored twice for the Pirates, who have dropped four of six.
The Pirates were down two and had runners on the corners with two outs in the fifth when Valdez fanned Andrew McCutchen on a curveball.
9 — the number of runs Pittsburgh has scored in Keller's last starts.
Astros: head to Cleveland for a three-game weekend series starting Friday when Colton Gordon (0-1, 5.95 ERA) faces Cleveland's Logan Allen (3-3, 4.22).
Pirates: welcome Philadelphia for a three-game set beginning Friday. Bailey Falter, who posted a 0.76 ERA across six starts in May, starts the opener for Pittsburgh.
