Signing Jadeveon Clowney long-term would be a mistake

Point Blank

The Texans have some big decisions to make this off-season and perhaps none is more important than deciding what to do with Jadeveon Clowney. Clowney is going to want a huge contract somewhere in the ballpark of what Khalil Mack and Aaron Donald are making. Mack recently signed a deal for 6-years, $141 million. The Texans also have the option of placing the franchise tag on Clowney and keeping him for another year, but they could also trade him. Check out the video and find out what Joel Blank would do if he was making the front office decisions.

The Texans also receive pick number 99, and a 2026 third-round selection.

When Ohio State's offensive lineman Donovan Jackson and Texas receiver Matthew Golden went off the board right in front of them, the Texans decided to go with a contingency plan, it seems.

We'll have to wait until Friday night to see what the Texans do with their picks.
