Texans frugal renaissance may point to Deshaun Watson’s future

The Houston Texans' recent moves, including the restructuring of Brandin Cooks' deal, has freed up significant salary cap money. ESPN Houston's John Granato and Lance Zierlein examine how the Texans might use that money and how this could tie into Deshaun Watson.

The Texans did sign Mark Ingram on Thursday, but that deal isn't big enough to make much of a difference in terms of cap space. The big question is, will they use the cap room to improve the roster, or is that money earmarked for the cap hit that's coming from a Deshaun Watson trade?
