When not having a GM will hurt the Texans the most

After firing Brian Gaine and unsuccessfully hiring Nick Caserio, the Texans find themselves in the unenviable position of operating without a general manager.

While the duties of the GM will be divided amongst other front office personnel, fans are left to wonder if the Texans will be at a disadvantage without a true GM in place.

Justin Verlander had Tommy John surgery in 2020. But at age 39, he may have put together his best career season, leading the American League with 18 wins and a 1.75 ERA, the best mark in the AL since Pedro Martinez in 2000.
